DunPort supports the MBO of Screen Scene Group
DunPort are delighted to have supported the senior management of Screen Scene Group in their recent management buyout of the business from existing owner NEP Group, a Carlyle backed production group which is headquartered in the US. The DunPort team are looking forward to working with Jake Walshe, Mura O’Byrne, Hubert Montag and the rest of the Screen Scene team as they seek to fulfil their aspirations for the business over the coming years.
DunPort provided flexible long term hybrid capital from the €50m Birch Corporate Credit fund. Screen Scene, established in 1985 and led by CEO Jake Walshe, is an Irish business offering post-production services across Film & Drama, Visual FX, Broadcast and Commercials. The group comprises separate brands in Screen Scene Post-production, SSVFX and Ardmore Sound.
Screen Scene is one of Ireland’s most well established and long-standing post-production houses and has become a well-established player in the global post-production VFX business. The group has worked on some of the most successful movies and television shows ever made including Game of Thrones, Stranger Things and Spider-Man, while its commercial division works with blue-chip brands like AIB and Guinness.
